Looking for my first profitable trade tonight.  I like my starting positions and will look to go green on all outcomes after around 15 mins.

Trade 1

After an opening position of backing 0-0 and the game finishing 0-0 you would think I'd have made a profit right.....nope.  The game started really open and after 10 minutes and lots of missed chances and attacking play I traded out of my position and left all the green on the other scores and a small red on 0-0.  The game carried on with both teams missing chances and finished 0-0.

Although I was disapointed I learnt alot from this game, the 0-0 price after 10 mins harldy moved and I felt a goal was coming so I traded out for a very small profit. A more experienceed trader may have realised that the price would have to shorten soon if theres was no goal, no matter how attacking the game was.  The 0-0 price shortened considerably 2 minutes after I left the position.

Trade 2

I had a good starting position but the game never got started because of the weather.

Trade 3

I layed £4 of my original £8 stake off and was just about to lay the rest off when blackburn scored.  I think the under 2.5 gls market is better for trading than the under 1.5 gls market.

Trade 2 South Africa vs India

Starting Position

I traded India's price as I thought it would contract if the rain carried on pouring.  I just need the game to start now.

Trade 1 Wigan vs Aston VIlla

Posted on Sunday 19 November 2006 at 1:18 PM

Starting Position

Two form teams I see this being a close game.  I also dont see many goals in this game. Im going to back 0-0 and 1-1 on the correct score market and hopefully will trade out early in the game.

£5 on 0-0 @ 9.8

£4 on 1-1 @ 7.2

Introduction

Im a professional poker player by trade and have been thinking of getting into trading on betfair for a while.  Having just got sky multiroom fitted into my office now seems like a good time to start.  I have cleared my betfair account of all but £100 and I dont really have a target i'm just hoping to learn and make some sort of profit over the course of 100 events. I'm not sure how often I will be able to blog as poker takes up most of my time.  Football and Cricket are my specialist events with the odd snooker game thrown in.
