OUTCOME: BASIC PLAN: Write-off pending calculation [temporarily within OVERALL N/A]
PROSPECTS (as they seemed over-night):
No research. Thus no short-list.
I have decided that Write-Off time has come when I must calculate that betting has cost me xyz over the period that I am calling Research & Development. Then I shall zero Basic Plan and start it anew. (Overall has to be carried forward as it stands, I think.)
It is paradoxical that this decision is made at a time when I am most confident about what I am doing. But it can be argued that, by reason of the solid confidence (despite the adverse impression suggested by recent results), this is the very time to stop and start again. This blog will end when the Write-off details are known and confirmed. Then I think I shall start a new one to cover the next stage of my development as a punter with professional aspirations.
I was in business for myself for some 4 years and one of the conclusions I arrived at was that companies do not go under for millions of pounds. No. They go under for the last £50 that they cannot find at the critical moment. I have not gone under, as such, but the critical moment caame for me after Imps Way came 2nd yesterday instead of winning. Then the present pass was mirrored by something that happened to me last night.
All through the afternoon and evening I had tried to keep everything going but had kept falling asleep half-way through calculations. Late on (about 1.30 am) I fell asleep yet again whilst working on the day's update of my master-file and woke up to find its contents in disarray at my feet. Half-asleep I cobbled it together anyoldhow and retired to bed. When I awoke today I realised I must stop what I have been doing and re-group. Funny how things work out sometimes.
