3 November 2006 - THURSDAY: Sunisa loser in my book

No back-to-win selections to report on, and it was a losing day for my lay bets. I successfully layed bets on two horses, but then I was opposing Sunisa in the handicap hurdle at Haydock. At least half the field had similar if not better form to the favourite. With around half a dozen horses with every chance on the form book, I felt 100/30 was a short enough price to lay.

This time I was wrong, but if this race were run 100 times Sunisa would win less than one time in every 4.33 races as that price suggests. In my opinion, Sunisa was a true 5/1 chance and in the long run, laying a 5/1 chance at 100/30 would be profitable.
