19 September 2007 - Slim pickings today

Generous Gem was beaten yesterday as we hoped, and put some more cash in our pockets. However, today I have not been able to spot anything obviously vulnerable at a short enough price. I considered laying Colwyn Bay in the stayers race later on this evening at Kempton, but he is stepping down in class. Half of me asks "is he below par to be raced in a lower class?" but the other half says "he must surely be able to take a race like this". So I am going to keep my money safe and be a spectator today. Good luck if you decide to have a punt somewhere.
