Trading and laying for profit

Amazing that it has been nearly 10 months since i posted here.
i have been a tad preoccupied workwise but still endeavouring to make a few extra bucks laying horses.
some good and some bad days, but that's gambling for you.
on Jan 1st i restarted my attempt  to replicate the Maria laying staking plan following identifying what has been a fairly successful strike rate, but immediately i started in earnest the results were very up and down, and the number of selections fell away, so that i am looking to increase these and so far they have been okay.
i started with a £1000 bank and so far of 94 selected 76 have been succesful a SR of 80.85%, but on one day i had 4 winners which shocked me a bit!
anyway from time to time i will try to post my progress /results and the odd day of selections here are todays
as of today my current bank is £1048.70, which is way short of my target, and should i lose over 30% of my start bank i shall cease and go off and lick my wounds!

i know that the foul weather has affected the results of course, but at least it is still positive!

Good morning,
wow, appears i haven't posted since 2 april, you must have missed me. i may even have forgot this time had i not had a comment posted on an entry made in January!!! either the post is slow or my posts take a long time to read. it was acomment about the Maria laying system which the writer thought was probably a fabrication, i don't know, but i understood that she posted her selections before racing so they were (supposed) not fixed, anyone any views on this??

Godd morning, well, the LAST system ended with a bang, with a wrong result in a win from Eisteddfod at Kempton, which did surprise me i can tell you. and having just taken some easy pickings from Pivotal Flame earlier in the day i was in bouyant mood. ah, how like the racing gods to exact their revenge!!!
i will give you my today's pick before detailing the week's and months results, which are, by the way, excellent. modestly put don't you think?

my old friend mind alert is running today at lingfield 3pm with Dane O'neill aboard. well for the 6th time this year (and 4th time this month) i am looking to oppose this horse. will it oblige? lets see shall we.

the week ended with a profit of 7 points, in a month that started badly, but finished in style with a month's total of 20 points profit even after the Eisteddfod debacle yesterday.

with the start of turf racing, i now have to se whether my system is robust enough for the vagaries of the variable courses opposed to the comparative uniformity of the all weather.
so a new journey begins with my first turf success from Pivotal Flame which i hope will be an omen for the flat season.

I see that i haven't posted the system results for the week, to my faithful fanclub (is there anyone out there reading this? feedback or comments would be nice?) i apologise.
the LAST system has produced some ups and downs results as with my main system.
started the month with no bets till mar 5th, and my first lay Strike Force won  ( really don't like it when they win! after all these months i still  take it personally-  emotional discpline  is a hardnut to crack, but you have to especially when laying). This was followed by 8 successful lays even though 1 was a no bet at 25/1, this great run was ruined by Border Music winning at 8/1, where was Party Boss!
as a consequence at the end of the week i am 3 points down on the month so far, and hoping for a better week next week.
Here are the selections and results so far, there are no selections today, and if anybody reads this far, can they tell me why when using this form not all the letters i type out get produced and the spaces sometimes disappear too!! weird that

Hi, a week of mixed fortunes on my main system with 17 selections, made up from 3 no bets as over price limit, 12 losers and 2 winners which won at 4/1 and 8/1 respectively resulting in no points won BUT, most importantly, nothing LOST in the week. imagine it, you work hard all week and not get paid for the work done, you wouldn't get a footballer to do that, the working hard part i mean!

Morning, as post in week said was a disppointing end to the month though i still acheived 16.5 points profit in February so i shouldn't be too disappointed should i. The last week has been my worst for a while, sorry if you have started to follow, but these thing happen, you have to take a long term view when laying. so in total last week i am -8.5 points but not suicidal just yet, cos if you check back you will see i have plenty in hand!!
Even so system is up 3 pints since the start of the new month.
ther are no selections for me to post today with only Bangor on today it is a quiet day.
on my Lay-a-sprinter-today (LAST) i have had no selections yet this month, though from it i did manage to pick Scarlett Heart to win at Lingfield on the 1st, well truthfully, i only went for a place bet, but a win is a win. what i shall try to do is post that system's results midweek

Hi guys,
Birthday party last night, too much champagne (I wish) and a birthday cake made by my daughter, chocolate fudge, my favourite, with cream and ice cream just what you need after a hard day laying horses!
after all my earlier excitement February only (!) produced 16.5 points profit to level stakes. i say only because at on stage i was flying along until between Feb 25 and 28th i took losses of  21.5 points which made me feel a bit sick i can tell you. in total my losses came to 39.5 points for the month so just imagine how good the result might have been (56 points - wow).
Anyway, a profit is still a profit when all is said and done, and i take it gracefully.
March has started well  with all  3  from yesterday losing and because i am posting i will put todays here now

Happy, happy, another excellent week with 100% success strike rate.
Picked just 15 this week, 2 were no bets (over odds limit- good job too as RedBirr won at 12/1- that would of hammered the bank!) a non runner in Gala evening and the abandoned meeting at Lingfield on 21st accounted for the others. So ended the week  plus  11 points at  up 32 points (so  far) on the month.

Hi, not a bad week made 6 points profit. Had 22 picks, 20 lost - just 2 winners 91% strike rate, but 2 i didn't lay because they were over 10/1 which is my liability cut off tho as you can see they lost anyway. Months total to date is + 18 points, which is fine by me.

100% success and 11 points profit this week. Though has been a horrible week weatherwise it was a good week for my lays, as results show with 16 horses selected, 11 losers, 3 no bets (i don't bet over 11 on the exchange, tho they lost) and 2 at  abandoned meetings.
in addition i also took extra profit on some of the placings, most notably Humourous at 20/1
so, Profit for the month to date is now 12 points from 17  horses, with just one  winning  its race.
