Here's today's selections:

2:20 Redcar - Bailieborough (1.3pts) A consistent sort who is always there or there abouts.  The handicapper may have this one and it is a big field and a closely matched contest.  Could go close though.

2:50 Redcar - Rainbow Mirage (0.9pts) Another consistent sort who cannot be ruled out.  But this is a big field with some useful sorts running including Hoh Mike who should win if close to best.

3:15 Kempton - Beaver Patrol (1.0pts) Best form on AW.  Hails from in-form yard so could go close if at best.

3:45 Fairyhouse - Preserved (1.4pts) Came nowhere in last 2 runs and didn't do much better time before that.  Not much expected today.

3:45 Newmarket - Ofaraby (1.1pts) This on's regular jock opted to ride Hinterland today.  What more do you need to know.  Also, up against a number of useful sorts.

4:15 Fairyhouse - Itsonlywoody (1.0pts) One 3rd. one 5th and four nowheres in last 6 races.  Not much exepected today.

4:20 Newmarket - Fractured Foxy (0.9pts) Very consistent sort who has won 3 of last 6 but low-class affairs.  Will have to be at very best to frame today. 

4:25 Kempton - King Cugat Kid (1.4pts) Well beaten in only two starts and difficult to envisage this one winning. 

5:15 Fairyhouse - Muscani (1.4pts) Beaten out of sight in last two runs.  Hasn't got a chance today

5:30 Newmarket - Cold Turkey (0.9pts) Won 3 of last 6.  Hasn't been seen since May and may be using this as a loosener for hurdling. Has shown good form on AW - but this is turf. & Spear Thistle (1.1pts) A consistent performer who lost his way.  Had a 4 month break and runs today for first time so no much expected.  Probably using today as a freshener for hurdling.

5:45 Fairyhouse - Tipolino (1.0pts) Two 2nds and a 3rd. then disasterous next two.  Could threaten if at their best.

7:00 Wolverhampton - Global Guest (0.8pts) Could make the frame if back to best form but done nothing lately.

8:00 Wolverhampton - Cloud Atlas (0.7pts) Won three races ago but quickly went off boil and has remained so.  Could pose problems if at their best.

8:30 Wolverhampton - Luis Melendez (0.9pts) Put 3 wins together and then went off the boil.  Could win if back to best.

9:30 Wolverhampton - Dinner Date (0.4pts) Was a consistent sort who framed 3 times in a row (winning one) until going off the boil.  Swords, who has been consistent of late, should win this one but will be given a hard time by Dinner Date if back to best.

Today is going to be about as difficult a day's racing as it gets.  If you are of a nervous disposition, I suggest that you give today a miss as there could be quite a few close calls.  For the brave, there's much moolah to be had.

Here's today's selections:

1:50 Lingfield - Beat the Bully (1.6pts) OK - it will get beaten.  Thrashed out of sight in last two runs.  Not much better expected today.

2:00 Newmarket - Wid (1.1pts) Has won two of last 3 starts and achieved a 2nd place so earns respect.  However, up against Sander Camillo and softer ground than she likes.  Place claims only.

2:10 Hexam - City Music (1.1pts) Pulled up in hurdles debut at Sedgefield last time out.  With Rare Society in the field (who is a C&D winner) City Music ca't possibly win.

2:55 Lingfield - Buckie Massa (1.2pts) Ran well for 6th. on Newbury debut but well beaten on next two starts.  Wide draw no hel today either.

3:10 Newmarket - Conquest (1.2pts) Has a good chance at his best.  Has got 2 1sts, 2 2nds and a 5th in has last 5 runs to his credit but up against Dutch Art who, if on song, will win easily. & Hellvelyn (1.1pts) Form figures of 1112 says it all but has to beat Dutch Art. 

3:15 Cork - Melissa's Star (1.3pts) Beaten out of sight on last two starts and not given a prayer today.

3:45 Cork - Colour Me Blue (1.3pts) 3rd and 4th in only two runs.  Draw no help.  Could go close if at the top of their game. & Call The Guards (1.3pts) Well beaten last two runs and up against Eyshal today who should win easily.

3:55 Hexam - Another Jameson (1.1pts) Best perfomances have been here over 3m but lacks pace.  The shorter trip and the better company is no help to her & Roadworthy (1.1pts) A misnomer if ever there was won.  Still to score after 27 attempts.  Last two runs were a disaster.  No chance.  

4:15 Cork - Akimbo (1.2pts) Always there or thereabouts but not framed in last 6 runs.  Place claims at best.  Also, Art Museum is running and could decimate the field if returning to best form.

4:50 Cork - Oodachee (1.4pts) Completed a hat-trick of wins over fences this sason already but didn't run well last time.  This one may now be out of petrol. 

5:15 Lingfield - Versatile (1.6pts) Another misnomer if ever there was one.  Placed twice in France but done nothing in the UK.

5:20 Cork - Whatalotwegot (1.0pts) Nowhere in 3 of last 6 runs, so another misnomer.

5:30 Newmarket - Acrobatic(0.9pts) Three wins, a 2nd., a 4th and a 5th. to his credit so demands respect.  Best runs on polytracks but on turf today so questions to answer.  A Godolphin pair are also running and the Italian rides one of 'em so it's gonna be interesting.   

5:35 Hexam - King Daniel (0.9pts) Won a maiden here over same distance.  Received penalty for that but went close next time.  Hasn't been out for 18 weeks so not race fit.  On his best form, this could win.

5:50 Cork - Mango Catcher (1.2pts) The class horse in the field and likely to start short-priced favourite.  Won 2 in a row and failed narrowly last time.  Could fail narrowly again today and worth a risk

Another 100% day yesterday and only one minor scare when one of our selections (and a complete outsider) decided to get its act together, after 15 dismal failures in a row, and come a creditable 3rd.  Let's hope that today will be just as good although selections are few and far between today.

Here are today's selections:

2:35 Ayr - Bodden Bay (0.7pts) Never raced on anything slower than good.  Won in June on fast ground. Today, is soft and heavy in places. All previous runs were 6f - 1m.  Today's race is 5f.  So, running on this type of ground for first time and this distance for first time.  It ain't got a prayer. 

2:45 Hereford - Moss Bawn (1.0pts) Won two in a row in July.  Upped in distance last time which magnified a tendency to jump to right and only managed 5th.  Back to normal distance today so should do better.  It could be close but feel that the longer distance last time may have done this one no good whatsoever.  Minor place prospects at best.

5:15 Newmarket - Mango Music (1.0pts) Two firsts and a second in last 6 runs so not completely out of it.  Up against Cape, Angus Newz and Misphire plus at least two others that are more highly rated so will have work cut out to win.

5:55 Ayr - Beautiful Summer (0.7pts) Four races in career.  Best place is 4th.  Last 2 runs were a disaster.  Can't see this one doing much better today.

Yesterday was another 100% day.  Today, we should also go close but there may be one heart-stopping moment provided by Dispol Foxtrot.

Here's today's selections:

2:00 Salisbury - Aastral Magic (0.7pts) Has not won in 16 races and last 2 runs did not come in first 9.  Dropped down in weights today for latest defeat.  Has run on good/soft ground 3 times and on each occasion has finished well down the field.  Can't see today being any different.

2:40 Newcastle - Shandelight (1.4pts) Best placed 11th. in only two runs says it all about this one.

3:20 Lingfield - Retirement (1.5pts) After a break of over a year, ran 11 days ago and tailed off at the finish.  This one hasn't got a prayer.

3:50 Lingfield - Coustou (1.2pts) Hasn't run since last December and can't be race fit.  Won over this trip on turf early 2005 but has finished nowhere since.  This is his first AW run and is probably a freshener up for the jumps season.  Is likely to show early on and then fade away. 

4:10 Newcastle - Gavanello (1.0pts)  Four runs.  7th. in one and not in first 9 in other three.  Major step up in distance as well means that it will finish even further behind the leaders than usual.

4:40 Newcastle - Dispol Foxtrot (0.8pts) Won twice in a row on AW last winter when favourably treated.  Came 4th. last time after long break.  Likes cut in the ground and will get it today.  However, all the contenders are closely matched, the ground may be just too heavy and the weights just too much.  But, it's gonna be a close one.  

5:25 Downpatrick - Cool Scribe (1.4pts) Came nowhere in last two runs, 7th. time before that and not expected to do much today.

2:20 Sedgefield - Buildaan (1.4pts) Beaten out of sight on last two starts and not expected to improe on this today.

3:20 Ballinrobe - Reside (1.2pts) 1st. and two seconds in last 6 runs but lates two runs were aweful.  Has to be at its best to win this one.

4:15 Goodwood - Memphis Belle (1.4pts) Not in first 9 in only two runs.  Was beaten by over 20 lengths on each occasion and is rated 33 below the favourite.  Unlikely to improve today.

4:20 Ballinrobe - Tobar Isaun (1.0pts) In 6 runs, hasn't come better than 3rd.  and is rated well below the favourite. 

6:05 Nottingham - Villarosi (0.6pts) Only finished in rame onc in last 6 races and came last of 11 in last race and out of first 9 the time before that.  Dropped 2lbs in weights but will make little difference.

There isn't much in the way of selections today, but it looks like a fairly easy day:

2:10 Hamilton - John O'Groats - Came nowhere in 4 of last 6 starts and is up against Brigador who should win if running anything like their best.

2:20 Bath - Gib (1.0pts) - Interferred with on only two starts and came nowhere.  Good horses recover and come at least somewhere.  This didn't and so easily dismissed. 

2:30 Brighton - Sangfroid (1.4pts) - Finished last in only two starts.  Not much better expected today. 

4:10 Hamilton - Taili (0.9pts) - Absent for most of last year and thrashed in every race this year.   In addition is up against some useful sorts. 

5:00 Brighton - Multahab (0.8pts) - Creeping up weights for back-to-back wins.  8th. last time and handicapper may have this one.  Could go close if back to best but ground won't do this one any favours.

5:10 Hamilton - Silver Sail (1.3pts) - Best effort to date (3rd.) was on firm going.  Unlikely to shine today.

5:20 Bath - Full Spate (0.6pts) - Has looked too one-paced all year and not much expected today.

Yesterday was another winning day.  Let's see if we can improve on yesterday shall we:

2:05 Huntingdon - Time Marches On (0.8pts) After winning in May at Plumton has come 10th and 11th in subsequent races.  Not expected to do much today.

2:35 Huntingdon - Nicodemus (0.9pts)  Won 3 in a row then came 7th. next time.  One of the lowest rated in the field and today's run expected to reflect this.

2:35 Listowel - Ri Na Noileain (1.3pts)  Finished nowhere in last two runs and not much better expected today. 

2:45 Ascot - Young Mick (1.0pts) Has won 3 of last 5 races and should go close today, but not close enough. 

3:15 Ascot - Soulacroix(1.1pts) Not been out of first 3 in last 6 runs, winning 3 of them, so deserves respect.  Top weight today and ground will have an adverse affect.  Any overnight rain could make matters worse.

3:35 Listowel - Pearl's a Singer (1.3pts) Last ran at end of August and was last of 14.  Not much better expected.  Up against Jazz Messenger who should start odd-on favourite and is rated 31 above our selection. 

4:25 Ascot - Clinet (1.1pts) Won two races in Dubai in winter but hasn't run for 6 months. Not race fit, carrying top weight and likes better ground so could struggle today.

4:35 Musselburgh - Tedstale (1.2pts) Has to be respected having won 2 of last 3 races but has gone off boil lately. & Borsch (1.2pts) Best 7th. in last 6 races and don't expect much better today.

5:40 Musselburgh - Mystery Pips (0.9pts) Finished nowhere in last two runs and not much better expected today.
