Why Did I Have To Support Spurs?
Hello and welcome!
Spurs have just been dumped out of the Carling Cup and I'm less than ecstatic. After equalising, I thought we might go on to win it and now I'm left wondering why.
Overall things are going reasonably well at the Lane, but there are some underlying problems that I think Martin Jol needs to address. Firstly, I can't understand his dislike towards Anthony Gardner. Every time he plays, he does well and he may have been on a yellow-card tonight, but was there any real need to sub him. Secondly, it's time we stepped it up in the transfer market. Fair enough, investing in young players is a good strategy, but it's time we combined that with the signing of genuine quality, as opposed to average footballers. Maybe it's too early to judge Rocha, but buying a quality centre back to challenge Dawson and King, is what's really needed.
The same thing applies for the midfield, Zokora/Jenas/Huddlestone need someone to compete with them.
Where we've invested with big money up front with Berbatov, we've seen good results. We just need equally good additions in other positions.and co. might see.
In the summer, Jonathon Woodgate will probably be sold by Real Madrid - I'd at least like to see us try and compete for his signature. Left back is a problem position for us and with some reports today suggesting Bridge regrets signing his new Chelsea contract, he could be another option.
We also look flat when Lennon isn't there and the defence looks so much better when King is around. Those two, along with Berbatov were big misses tonight (possibly our best three players).
I just hope in the summer the likes of Ghaly are replaced by players with Champions League pedigree.
Rant over.
Have a good one,
Josh.
P.S. I try to talk about Spurs as little as possible tonight and just stick to betting topics, but I couldn't help myself this time.

Just a short notice...
Hello and welcome!
FA Cup means I won't be tracking system selections this weekend, but this should resume as normal, afterwards. I've been so busy, this blog has been put on the back burner a little, but I'll start posting four times a week, like I used to when things have settled down.
Also, congratualtions Brian, Nikola, Nicholas, Arnon, Terry, Steven and Kevin. All of you have been chosen by me to get a free copy of my football trading guide and I'll be emailing you all shortly.
Have a good one,
Josh.
P.S. I'm having Excel problems at the moment, but as soon as I get them resolved, I'll post up the results of the system selections from last week.

Competition Time
Hello and welcome!
On Thursday's post I mentioned that I had something of interest to announce for Friday. Unfortunately, I got caught up with stuff to do so had to postpone 'till today, but without further delay I'll expand on what I was referring to.
Firstly, and this is something I've hinted at in the past, I have a guide coming out on making money from the betting exchanges through trading on football. I don't want to give too much away at this stage, but the 'package' is going to include more than a simple ebook (although there will be an ebook to suppliment everything) - I want it to be acomprehensive guide revealing various ways to profit from trading on football.
Everytime I try to come up with something to call it, I hit a dead-end so I've decided to run a competition, where the winner gets a copy of the product 100% free, before it goes out to the general public.
You simply email your suggestions on what I should name the product to josh@profitablepunter.com and whoever comes up with the name I decide to use wins and gets the free copy of my guide.
If the winning name is submitted by two or three different people, the man (or woman) who emailed me first will definitetly get a free copy and, I expect I'll let the other contestant have a free copy, too (although anymore than three and it will only go to the fastest response).
Anyone can enter the competition, but there is a limit of sending 5 name entries (of course, you can send less if you want).
To stand the best possible chance of winning your title will need to be revevant to football trading and benefit orientated (something like Easy Trader Pro is good, although that name has already been taken by someone).
Now I also need some testimonials to put on the sales page. While others may just make them up, I want genuine comments from real punters and, because of this, I've decided to offer a second competition. In this competition, I'm looking to give away a handful of free copies of my package to punters willing to send me their thoughts on it, which I may decide to put up on the sales page. All you need to do is send me an email saying why you think I should give you a free copy in exchange for a testimonial. The handful of responses I like the best will win and be sent free copies.
As a side note, I'm producing something that deals with profitable football betting. It'll be like a crashcourse that will cater for anyone and give an insight to what how one full-time punter I've been in touch with makes his living. I'm going to make this freely available to everyone, too.
I'll close both competitions once I've found what I was looking for. It could be as soon as tomorrow, so you'll want to get your entries in ASAP.
Let me know if you've got any questions.
Have a good one,
Josh.
P.S. Feel free to enter both competitions, if you want. Remember, emails should be directed to josh@profitablepunter.com.

I'm really putting myself on the line this time...
Hello and welcome!
In this post, I planned on letting you all in on a few real secrets. The stuff no one else is brave enough to state anywhere. However, I've decided against posting it here. The bottom line is that I could get in BIG trouble for this and I don't want to put bfblogs.com at any risk by posting it here.
Having said this, what I want to say is a pressing issue and, in my opinion, people need to be aware of it. For this reason, I came up with a cunning plan to allow me to get my message across to you all.
It simply involves you visiting my site and subscribing to my betting newsletter, which is 100% free. Once a few days have past and there has been enough time for people to join I will email you all what I have to say.
You can subscribe from the following link: http://www.profitablepunter.com.
As an added bonus I've also assembled lots of 'goodies' to help news subscribers with their betting. If you're already a member of my newsletter, don't worry about re-joining. The email will go out to current subscribers, too.
Finally, the system selections for next week should be posted tomorrow.
Have a good one,
Josh.
P.S. I'm really sticking my neck out here (you'll see what I mean when I send the email) and I'm not sure if I'll ever repeat it again. For this reason I'd also ask that people please don't send me emails asking what this is all about if you find yourself reading this when it's too late...

Brief Update
Hello and welcome!
My timetable has been SLAMMED to the hilt lately. I can't remember ever having so little spare time!
I was unable to post system selections this weekend (due to me being extremely busy) and am just writing this post to let all viewers know I'm still alive, still well and very much aim to continue this blog.
In future I will try and make one content post each week, on top of the results and weekend selection posts.
Have a good one,
Josh.

5 Little Stories That Transformed My Day
Hello and welcome!
Today's post has nothing to do with gambling, but I believe it will be of massive benefit to anyone who takes the time to read it. Below you'll see a series of five short stories (yes they are short and won't take you more than a minute to finish). I read them, it put thngs into perspectve for me and I was profoundly touched. I recently came across them and thought I would share them. I'd like to stress that these aren't my stories. The first person viewpoints are from others.
Enjoy and be moved...
First Important Lesson
During my second month of nursing school, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions, until I read the last one:
"What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?"
Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade.
"Absolutely," said the professor. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say 'hello'."
I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned that her name was Dorothy.
Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain
One night, at 11:30 PM, an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rain storm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxi cab. She seemed to be in a big hurry but wrote down his address and thanked him.
Seven days went by, and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached. It read:
"Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away. God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others."
Sincerely, Mrs. Nat King Cole
Third Important Lesson- Remember Those Who Serve
In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10 year old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.
"How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked.
"Fifty cents," replied the waitress.
The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it.
"Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired.
By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient.
"Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied.
The little boy again counted his coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said.
The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies. You see, he couldn't have the sundae because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.
Fourth Important Lesson - The Obstacle in Our Path
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.
The peasant learned what many of us never understand: Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.
Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts
Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes, I'll do it if it will save her."
As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheeks.
Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away?"
Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her. You see, after all, understanding and attitude, are everything.
And that's all for tonight.
Have a good one,
Josh.

Talking To Myself
Hello and welcome!
Just a quickie this evening, to cap-off the weekend.
No replies to my question on too many traders making trading on betfair, too difficult. I guess I really am talking to myself! To be fair I only really have myself to blame for lack of advertising...
At the time of writing, yours truly is feeling a little glum. I had expectation that Spurs would do well this season, but it's looking more that mid-table beckons us this season (with this post being made off the back of a 0-0 draw at home to Fulham). Even when we were underperorfming in previous seasons we still had goals to our name, but two goals from five games tells it's own story...
Back to gambling and I hope you all had good, profitable weekends. Next week, I'll be describing each of the systems I'll be trialling. No secrets in this blog... every little details will be revealed and if they work, you'll know how to find the selctions yourself. After that, I'll try and cover some things that should make all of us better gamblers.
Josh.
