Monday 26th November
This weekend was an exercise in analysis. I decided instead of over analysing games, I would stick with my first round of selections. I wondered how gut insinct would work. And let em tell you on this evidence, it doesnt!! Out of 26 selections this weekend I only got 10 right, a very poor return. I should tell you now that I didnt back any of these with hard cash, so I didnt lose anything, but I wanted to know how i would get on. And at the very least I know that to make money in this market you need to put the work in.
This week I will be back to more traditional betting, using proper analysis!!
Tonights game with Leicester and Cardiff sees two teams who are both struggling, but both won at the weekend. with Collins John and Carl Cort missing for Leicester and Robbie Fowler missing for Cardiff goals may be hard to come by.
Leicester have only averaged a goal a game this season, while Cardiff have only managed 1.25 goals per game. Leicester also have the best defence in the league, letting in only 12 goals this season.
the only concern with this selection is the fact that it will be Ian Holloway's first home game in charge and the fans will be right up for it. The players admitted they were fired up on Saturday and beating the team sitting 4th away from home is a great result.
So tonights selection will be under 2.5 goals. I will have a small bet on this, but as there is some concern only a small interest.
